Main Description
Authorized Emergency Changes should be allocated to Delivery Teams for implementation. In case of Emergency Changes,
business needs and restoring the service are of primary importance. This must be kept in mind while implementing the
change. The Change Manager should ensure sufficient staff and resources are available to implement the Emergency Change as
per the timescale. Along with the development, Delivery Teams must also work on the remediation procedure.
In case of Emergency Changes, building and testing activities may be reduced or not followed at all if an immediate fix to
the production environment is required.
If the change once implemented, is failed to address the emergency issue, then iterative attempts may be required. The
unsuccessful changes need to be backed out immediately. Change Management should take responsibility to ensure that
business needs remain the primary concern and that each iteration of change implementation happens in the controlled
manner.
